Insulated metal panels (IMPs) are exterior wall and roof panels with steel skins and an insulating foam core. Insulated metal panels are known for their superior thermal properties, design flexibility and fast installation time – in addition to their great looks. Architects and general contractors from all over North America continue to discover why IMPs are a great choice for energy-efficient and cost-effective office buildings, stadiums, arenas, airports and more.

Hidden Fastening System
Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs) offer multiple advantages such as superior insulation and increased longevity while leaving room for creativity during the design phase. The speed and ease of installation of IMPs have greatly contributed to their growing popularity in the building construction industry. While traditional constructions require up to eleven steps, resulting in a slower and more irregular installation, architectural panels are lightweight and can be installed in one quick step upon delivery.

(PIR) Roof
Roof sandwich panels (external surface in a trapezoidal shape) are used to make various types of roofs with a small or medium inclination angle. Thanks to the proper profiling of the locks, SNAP roof sandwich panels have total tightness against air, steam, and rain infiltration. Roof panels are used as roofing material for production buildings, shopping centres, warehouses, and agricultural-industry buildings.

Insulated Panel Snap CH
Polyisocyanurate
(PIR) Cold Storage
Comprised of two galvanized, painted steel facings and a structural core of PIR foam; they are characterized by the highest thermal parameters (very-low heat-transfer coefficient U), so they perfectly meet the requirements for ensuring the high thermal insulation of walls and roofs for agricultural storing needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Send us an email and a representative will get back to you!
Our panels come in two insulation types: Mineral Wool (MiWo) and Polyisocyanurate (PIR).
MiWo is non-combustible mineral wool used in exterior walls and roofs. This plays a big part in protecting a building and its neighbours due to it reducing heat transfer and the spread of fire. It also does not produce harmful smoke or toxic gases or add to the smoke produced during a fire.
PIR insulation is typically cut into boards to be used in insulated metal panels, wall cavities and as insulated plasterboard. This insulation type is only half the thickness of other mineral-based insulated products and is flame and smoke resistant. Similar to MiWo insulation, PIR reduces the spread of flames and the smoke released from a fire.

Insulated metal panels (IMPs) are exterior roof and wall panels that are composed of two pieces of steel skin with insulation foam in the middle.
The insulated foam core can range from a variety of materials, but the most common options are PUR (polyurethane) and PIR (polyisocyanurate).
The exact price depends on the specific product used, application, and building size.
Insulated metal panels (IMPs) are a cost-effective solution compared to other building materials. The benefit of IMPs is the short install time due to fewer trades being needed onsite. As a result, insulated metal panels can be installed in up to half the time of a traditional multi-part built-up system, ultimately saving cost in construction time. IMPs can also save on long-term energy costs due to the increased R-values.
As a whole, insulated metal panels are a less-expensive alternative to building materials such as concrete or traditional insulation.
Insulated metal panels (IMPs) can be as thin as 1 inch, or as thick as 8 inches for cold storage wall panels. Most IMPs for commercial buildings are in the 1-inch – 6-inch range. Our SU/S series of commercial wall panels range in thickness from 2 inches to 6 inches. Our CH series panel, a cold storage product, is available in multiple thicknesses from 2 inches to 8.6 inches.
The R-value of insulated metal panels depends entirely on the insulated foam core used. PUR is typically 5.0-7.1 per inch, while PIR is typically in the 7.2-7.8 per inch range.
Because of this, most insulated metal panels have an R-value of R-5 to R-64, with panels ranging from 1 inch thick to 8 inches thick. With SNAP’s technologically advanced panels, R-values can reach as high as R-60.
SNAP’s insulated panels manufactured in North America use either PIR or PUR insulation foam, with R-values starting at 5 per inch for PUR and at 7.8 per inch for PUR. These thermal resistance R-values are quoted at 75°F.
For cold storage applications, we offer insulated panels with R-values of up to 9.0 per inch, as measured at 35°F.
